Bake Sale and Raffle Info

Tomorrow is the big day. We so hope to see you out at the FabuLESS Pay It Forward Garage Sale at 8am! But first, a few items of business to attend to:

For just $5 a ticket, you have the chance to win one of these AWESOME prizes:

-And last, but by far my favorite. First, I’ll let the pictures do the talking….On August 5th, the Blue Turf Photographers (including a photographer named Crissie, perhaps you’ve heard of her!) will be on the Boise State field shooting one lucky family! This FABULESS package includes:

the family photo shoot on the BSU field, an online gallery to share with friends and family and a CD with your 3 favorite images, edited and suitable for wall quality printing. A Bronco fan’s dream (aside from a BCS bowl bid I suppose)!

Buy your tickets tomorrow at the sale, or if you can’t make it to the sale you can buy raffle tickets via Pay Pal. Just click below and purchase as many tickets as you would like. Then, on the final screen, click on “send special instructions to the seller” and let us know that the payment was for the purchase of raffle tickets.

Now onto the BAKE SALE!

We are still in desperate need of donated baked goods. If you can’t drop them off at the sale tomorrow morning, email us and we can make other arrangements. Please have the goods packaged for sale, ie. cookies are individually wrapped or bagged together (also, if you do not put some sort of padlock on your home baked goodies, I cannot guarantee they will arrive safely to the sale. They might accidentally disappear, but my sweet tooth cannot be held responsible!).

Because there is still so much to do and so little time, I am unable to send an adequate thank you to those who have contributed items or slaved away in the scorching heat, sorting, cleaning, and tagging items. You know who you are and we are forever grateful for your generosity. Our hearts are full!

Alright FAB readers, it is time to kick your generosity into high gear. Our FabuLESS Pay It Forward Garage Sale is rapidly approaching (but you all knew that since it is marked on your calendars, right? Right?) and we are still in need of your donations: your time, your awesome items to sell and your yummy treats for the bake sale. Go HERE for all of the info you need to help. Also note that a 5th drop-off location has been added in Caldwell.

TOMORROW IS THE LAST DAY TO DONATE ITEMS!! But you can still bring baked goods the morning of the sale and drop them off at the Five Mile Church of the Nazarene.

Volunteers are still needed for ALL shifts. And great news: BABYSITTING WILL BE PROVIDED THURSDAY AND FRIDAY MORNINGS!!! A break from your kiddos while you give to a GREAT cause. Does it get any better? Even if you can’t stay the entire time, we’d love to have you join us (plus we would love to meet you!). Email us and we will give all the info you need to know!

I know most of you have read about how this sale came to be, but what you probably don’t know is what is has become. Not only have we been humbled by the support and donations from total strangers, but we have also been moved to tears by the stories of struggling families sent to us by our readers.

One email introduced us to the Wolfkiel family. Jason Wolfkiel is a 31 year old Kuna native who has been battling Familial Melanoma for 4 years. Sadly, all of the treatments thus far have yielded little results, and the cancer is back with a vengeance. His only option at this point is a treatment made available in Pennsylvania. It is an Immune System Therapy called Anti-CTLA. It requires a payment of $45,000 up front. Because of Jason’s condition and subsequent treatments, he has been unable to work. His wife has gone back to work to support their 3 young children, but makes nowhere near enough to cover the cost.

That is where we come in. This sale will also benefit the Wolfkiel Family! We might only makes a small dent in the fundraising efforts, but if we have a successful sale, that might change! And that success depends on you, our fabuLESS readers.

IT WILL BE HELD on August 1st from 8 am-2 pm at:

DROP OFF LOCATIONS:

• Nampa – Edgewater Dental 1436 S Edgewater Circle M-TH 8-5 (If you have larger items for this location, such as furniture, please email us to make arrangements).
• Kuna – Anytime (Leave on driveway)
• Boise -Anytime (Leave on North driveway)
• Meridian - Better Life Chiropractic 1220 N Meridian Rd # A, Meridian, ID (click for business hours) (This location will not be able to take large items like furniture.)
• Caldwell – 700 Chance St. Caldwell 83605 This is a new address and can not be found on goolge maps. Head S on Cromwell off Airport Rd to find it.
• (Wednesday the 29th, 5pm is the drop off deadline)

We are looking for VOLUNTEERS!
We need a “FAB FIVE” for each “shift”.

• Thursday 30th: 8am -12pm to organize, clean, and tag
• Friday 31st: 8am-12pm to organize, clean, and tag
• Saturday 6:00 am Trucks and muscles to load and transport to location
• Saturday 8am-2pm to help man the sale
• Saturday 2:00pm clean up and transporting (need trucks again)
